My Story and Mission
Free For All History is a dynamic history blog dedicated to exploring the revolutionary stories, people, and moments that shape our modern world. Our institutions, rights, and social structures didn’t appear out of thin air — they evolved through centuries of struggle, resistance, and collective action.

There is a strong line that we can trace to discover the foundational history of freedom and liberty. The fight for human rights, fairness and recognition is an ongoing battle that needs to be carefully recorded.
The goal here is clear: FFAH makes history accessible, provides educational resources and keeps track of the development of human freedom.
Here, you’ll find articles that blend data with storytelling by connecting the past with the present in meaningful ways. Whether you’re just curious, love a good historical deep-dive, or want to learn something new on your lunch break, FFAH offers engaging posts that are easy to read, free to access, and open to all.
About the Writer
Welcome to my blog. I’m happy you’re here. My name is Jestina Williams, and I am the writer, researcher and curator of Free For All History. I grew up in the quiet countryside, which meant that I had lots of time to read and collect books. My love of literature started with the mesmerizing and heroic tales of ancient Greek Mythology. Men of Gods by Rex Warner became my childhood favourite, and before long, social commentaries such as Animal Farm, Roll of Thunder, and Frankenstein became my obsession.

The majority of the books I read reflected a life that existed long before I was born. I became curious to know more about the past. That curiosity led me to Lakehead University, where I majored in History. After graduating, I jumped right into a postgraduate program in Communications at Humber College. Here I learned the vital skills that now shape my writing.

Free For All History is the result of all the time I spent researching and all the tears I cried trying to set up WordPress! With my work, I hope to share history in a way that feels human, relatable, and worth your time.
